Boutique beer in the Nelson region NZ
Cheers for Beers
Today, the Nelson region is the only area of New Zealand growing hops, which are harvested annually in March. This distinction is bolstered further by the superb range and quality of our locally brewed beers.
There are a number of boutique breweries that can be visited from the nation’s smallest legal brewery to the first certified organic brewery.
Brewery tours and tastings are compulsory for budding brew masters and beer enthusiasts, as is stocking up on the many styles available locally, including lagers, ales and stouts.
